| Don't throw your old fire documents away!
Publications, books (even children's books), news clippings, internal
documents, research reports, videos, and pamphlets are all valuable
material that we would love the chance to archive and catalog. The
library is growing at a rapid rate through donations from our users.
Among the larger doners have been:
- Ross Wein
(University of Alberta)
-
Dale Wade
(retired US Forest Service)
-
Bob Martin
(retired US Forest Service and UC Berkeley)
-
Clint Phillips
(retired California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, deceased)
-
Bill Beaufait
(retired US Forest Service)
-
Petewawa Forestry Research Institute
(closed in the late 1990's -- entire library transferred to FRI)
Donations of an material are recognized by the US IRS as a valid
donation to a non-profit organization and qualifies as a tax deduction.
You should check with your accountant as to the value of donations.
When a donation of material is received by the library, we send you a
letter acknowledging the gift and telling you how many pieces of
material were given. Your accountant can then help you determine the
value of the donation. Don't forget to keep your postage receipt, as
this is also a donation.
Donations should be sent to:
